Summerberry Cheesecake - 12 for $40
Not available individually from Mama Jo, however may be available (when in stock) from retailers. Please see website for details.

An amazing cupcake. You can tell it is very moist as the patty pan wrapper is almost falling off. Usually with reviewing cupcakes, I try the cake first and the icing/frosting last. Not this time - I had to try the icing!

Simply delectable. It isn't just like a cheesecake, it is a cheesecake!

The cake part itself is lovely. Soft, and moist, and sweet... vanilla cake mix with real raspberries. I'm in heaven with this cake!

Back to the icing for a moment... the cream cheese has been whipped up with real berries (again!), and is smooth (no lumps whatsoever), drizzled with a berry sauce. Divine!

Blackberry & White Chocolate Mousse
"Light almond sponge casing filled with white chocolate mousse and topped with blackberry mousse." - francois.com.au

Visually AMAZING! All I can say about the appearance. I almost don't want to eat it! (Sorry about the bad photo, the lighting wasn't very good)

Wow... Such a contrast in textures! The sponge is chewy, yet soft. The mousse filling is naturally sweet - little to no extra added sugar. There is white chocolate mousse inside the casing, so soft and smooth it is almost unbelievable! The blackberry mousse sits on the top of the white chocolate mousse and is just as smooth, even with 'opening hours' of sitting in the fridge.

Raspberry Mousse
"Light almond sponge casing filled with raspberry mousse." - francois.com.au

Again, it's simply amazing! It's a little deceptive with the garnish as it features strawberry and (I think) cranberries. (Sorry about the bad photo, the lighting wasn't very good). Such a cute design being shaped like a heart. VERY pink, but that just adds to the charm.

Wow... again. It has the same textural contrasts as the Blackberry & White Chocolate Mousse, but the extra natural sweetness of the raspberry adds more of a flavour contrast. It has such a kick, but it's not overpowering.

 Strawberry Tart
"Shortcrust pastry, almondine, custard topped with fruits." - francois.com.au

A little clumbsy, visually, but loaded with strawberries so I don't see a way that it could have been graceful without removing half of the filling or the berries. Very shiny surface, due to a thick layer of jelly covering. It's making my mouth water. (Sorry about the bad photo, the lighting wasn't very good)

Most people who know me know that I don't like custard unless it's with Christmas pudding. However, I did have one exception to this rule - the strawberry tart from Miami Bakehouse. Now, I have two exceptions because this strawberry tart is just as nice.

The pastry is a little too hard for my liking, and the almondine is too thick, however the custard filling and the berries on top make up for it. Real strawberries, and super smooth custard makes for an amazing combination. The berries are sweet - I did expect this - and if they weren't I don't think it would work. Now that's a job I wouldn't mind - tasting strawberries :)

Toblerone Tart - $4.20
Can be purchased individually from stores.
No description available online.

The pastry is soft, but still crisp. The filling is dreamy - another flavour of Baby Cakes frosting! - and has a dark chocolate layer at the bottom of the pastry cup.

There's not much I can say about this one - just go out and get it. It doesn't matter if you're not a fan of Toblerone chocolates - the flavour is not as intense as it looks to be.

Passionfruit Pavlova Cheesecake - $3.95
Can be purchased individually from stores.
No description available online.

The meringue is sweet, and crisp. There is a dollop of frosting on the top (I really do like their frosting!) as well as passionfruit sauce.

I love the fact that this is actually a cheesecake. I thought it was a cupcake with a cheesecake-like topping.

The cheesecake is smooth, sweet (but not too sweet), but a little on the heavy side. The passionfruit adds the crunch to the cake.

There is a thin biscuit base along the bottom, but I only noticed this at the end.

Low Fat Wildberry Bakes Cheesecake - $4.80
Available for purchase from stores.

The pastry is too thick for my liking.

It has lots of colour, and isn't as smooth as 'regular' cheesecakes, but it's not as lumpy as most ricotta cheesecakes either. Not too strong in flavour or sweetness.

It's not a light dessert.

Very crumbly, falls apart easily. It came apart from the base almost immediately. Large portion size.

Key Lime Cupcake - $3.95
Available online (minimum order of 6), or can be purchased individually from stores.
"Moist and lush lime and coconut cupcakes topped with pale green icing and crystalised lemon and lime zest" - babycakes.net.au

Moist (almost sticky) cake, cannot taste any lime or coconut in the mix however.

I love the lemon and lime zest with the crystallised sugar - it makes for a beautiful crunch, and complements the softness of the frosting marvellously!

Unfortunately, the frosting has nowhere near the amount of lime flavour I expected, and it is hard to eat as the zest is all stuck together and doesn't like to come apart unless you break it with your hands.

Queen of Hearts Mini Mini - $2.00
No description available online. Can be purchased individually in stores.
NB: 2 bite size

Adorable mini tart (with soft pastry!), filled with a strawberry jelly filling, topped with a pastry heart. The pastry is soft and easy to eat - it doesn't crumble after the first bite. The strawberry filling is very sweet - almost too sweet, and for me that's very strange. No frosting on this one. I'm a little disappointed, but overall, not too bad. I don't recommend more than one though.

White Chocolate Cheesecake Mini Mini - $2.00
Available online (minimum of 6), or can be purchased individually in stores.
"Sweet pastry case filled with dreamy cheesecake and topped with a dark chocolate curl. " - babycakes.net
NB: 2 bite size

The chocolate curl has no fridge taste (thank god!), and is crisp and rather sweet for dark chocolate. The pastry is soft, perhaps a little too soft for a cheesecake filling, but it doesn't crumble. The white chocolate filling is decadent! Just as soft and smooth as the regular frosting! Overall, however, it lacks crunch of any sort, and is a little on the bland side, even if eaten with the chocolate (instead of seperately).

Princess Petit Four - $2.00
Available online (minimum of 6), or can be purchased individually in stores.
"Our most popular cupcake, moist plain cupcake topped with pink frosting and a pink and white chocolate icing flower." - babycakes.net
NB: 2 bite size

Very cute! The small sugar flower on top gives the cake the most innocent look! (yes, it is possible for a cake to look innocent!). The sugar flower reminds me of the sugar easter eggs I used to get as a kid, only softer. It's not overly sweet. Perfect blend of sweet and soft. A definite winner. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE the frosting from BabyCakes??

Death by Chocolate Petit Four - $2.00
Available online (minimum of 6), or can be purchased individually in stores.
"Decadent  fudgey chocolate cake topped with dark chocolate ganache and a chocolate shard. " - babycakes.net
NB: 2 bite size

Very cute, yet a little imposing. The chocolate shard is almost as big as the cake itself. Strangely, the chocolate has a fridge taste that I haven't found with BC yet. It is a rather dry cake, the frosting is very rich, and not as soft as I was expecting.

Total Score: 2.5/5

Tiramisu Petit Four - $2.00
Available online (minimum of 6), or can be purchased individually in stores.
"Chocolate pastry case filled with creamy tirami su and topped with a chocolate shard." - babycakes.net
NB: 2 bite size

Very cute. The filling is soft, the same consistency as the frosting from BC. White chocolate shard sets it off perfectly, and there is no fridge taste! The pastry feels hard to the touch, but is soft enough to eat without struggling, and it does not fall apart. I absolutely LOVE the small piece of coffee sponge in the bottom of the pastry shell!
